Lammie lived a long and gentle life, passing peacefully on 29 August surrounded by love. She leaves behind a legacy of comfort, kindness, and unwavering companionship.

At HERD, Lammie played a special role in the lives of orphaned elephants—most notably forming a deep and tender bond with Khanyisa. From sunrise to sunset, she was a constant presence, offering warmth, reassurance, and playful companionship.
